R.H. Rue Ranch 12 miles southwest of Sherman The
ranch consisted of 4,200 acres, consistting of high prairie lands and
bottom lands. The ranch is watered by Range Creek and Buck Creek.
Mr. Rue improved is ranch by adding ten water tanks and
wells, a peach orchard, good buildings and fences.
His ranch was devoted to stock breeding; his stock in 1886 consisted of 900 head were bred to thoroughbred Shorthorns, brood mares and fine colts. Mr. Rue was also in the stock commission business. Mr. Rue had lived on his ranch for about twelve years but offered this ranch for sale as he had other businesses that occupied his time and attention.
