J.T. MUNSON
Whose portrait appears above, is a native of Illinois; born and raised on a farm in Fulton county, for a number of years engaged in the drug business at Astoria, Illinois.  In 1873 removed to Denison and has been engaged in the real estate business here ever since.  The firm of which he is a member is one of the best known in the state.  Mr. Munson was contract surveyor for the survey of the celebrated capital lands, which were afterwards exchanged for the magnificent state capitol building at Austin; was a promoter and is a leading stockholder in the Red River Bridge, now proving so highly beneficial to the retail trade of Denison.  In fact, the firm of Munson & Bro. have been prominently identified with many important enterprises since the organization of the town to the present time, and have contributed largely to the development of the city of denison.
