Deaths

The body of Lee Arthur DOUZE, son of Mrs. Fred DOUZE, residing in Farmer Twp., was brought here from the U. S. hospital in Colorado where he died of tuberculosis. Funeral at Farmer, Monday afternoon and burial in Farmer cemetery. He was 32 years of age and had been in the navy 12 years.

Word was received last week from the Rev. Glenn M. SHAFER of the death of his mother, Mrs. A. L. SHAFER, at her home in Tiffin, February 16 of bronchial pneumonia. Rev. SHAFER was formerly pastor of the local Presbyterian church, and now minister of the Presbyterian church at Carlisle, Pa.

Miss Genevra GROSS and brother, Frank, of Stryker, spent Sunday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John MATTOON.

The ladies Bible class of the Presbyterian Sunday school will hold its February sociel meeting Friday evening of this week. Mrs. Mae BOOTHMAN, of West Bryan street hostess.

Died

Mrs. Charles CLINGER died August 21 at her home in Perry, O., following an attack of blood poisoning. She was a former Bryan girl, Miss Cora FREEMAN, and was a sister of Mrs. Walter BRACE and an aunt of Misses Zella and Helen FREEMAN.
