WCCPS uses the Leroy Beachy numbering system along with the name of the present owner. Since Amish cemeteries change their name according to the present owner, much confusion can result if one does not know the name of an earlier owner of the farm. WCCPS lists only the Beachy code number in the master index.
A list of all known Amish cemetery owner’s names is included in our Cemetery Names Cross Reference. Below is an explanation of Leroy Beachy’s coding system corresponding to only Wayne County Townships.
