Barbara K. Helberg, published, in 1987, the HELBERG FAMILY HISTORY. It covers the Helberg Family in Henry County and Defiance County. It contains many names such as ARPS, DREWES, FREYTAG, WINKELMANN, etc. She will be happy to help any one that she can.

Lucille Sunderman has graciously volunteered to do limited lookups in material published by the Henry County Genealogical Society. She has the church records of Zion Lutheran Church which was also known as the Church of New Hanover. Most of the members were German Immigrants from the then Kingdom of Hanover which today is part of Lower Saxony. This is the oldest Lutheran Congregation of record in Henry County. These records are from 1848 to 1880 when the congregation disbanded and its remaining members joined one of the other nearby "daughter congregations".

Terry Wittenberg has offered to research the records of St. John's Lutheran Church in Freedom Twp, through 1968. He also has close to 8000 names in his database, almost all from Henry County, mostly Napoleon, Freedom, and Ridgeville Twps., or snail mail: 1474 W. Grace St., Chicago, IL 60613.
