This page provides information on the cemeteries in Hunterdon County. It is a continual work in progress. The data has been compiled from many sources. Some of the data has come from messages posted to the Hunterdon County GenWeb mail list. This is a valuable resource and thanks to all who contributed. Other information came from published sources, and some from my own personal research. Where there is disagreement between two sources, I've tried to include both. The very nature of this work implies that there will be errors in it. If you would like to contribute to this work or correct an error, please contact me at address below.

A couple of notes of explanation:
1). During the 1930s, the Genealogical Society of New Jersey surveyed many New Jersey cemeteries and grave yards and recorded tombstone inscriptions. The results of this work is maintained in a large card catalog at the Special Collections Department, Alexander Library, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
If a particular cemetery is included in this work, I have noted that fact along with the number of gravestone inscriptions that were recorded by GSNJ where the data exists.
2). Reference to Snell are to James Snell's History of Hunterdon and Somerset Counties. Since there are a number of different issues of this work, the page numbers may not be correct.
