PERSONAL PROPERTY LIST (1914)

Additional Tax Figures Precinct Assessors in Walker, Loup, Butler, Sherman and St. Bernard townships have completed their annual jobs and handed their personal tax schedules in to County Assessor Joe Berney. In accordance with the arrangements made to publish all the personal tax assessments in The Telegram and the Platte Center Signal, the figures for Walker, Loup, Butler and Sherman townships are given below. Figures for St. Bernard and several other townships will be given in next week's issue. The figures appearing opposite the names in the list show the actual value of personal property turned in by each person. Readers should remember that under the revenue laws of Nebraska the property owned by each taxpayer is assessed against him in the precinct in which it is found. Therefore, a taxpayer's name may appear in the reports from more than one precinct.
