Edwards, Joseph

I Joseph Edwards of Saint Marys County in the Province of Maryland do make, constitute and appoint this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imps (?).
I give and bequeath to my dear and Loving wife Mary Edwards the Tract of Land called Diamonds Venture with all the Improvements thereon, being The Land whereon I now live during her natural Life and after her decease to be divided between my two sons Joseph Edwards andB Benjamin Edwards by a line drawn from the third Bounded Tree being a Spanish Oak to the head of the Huckleberry Branch and with the said Land on the Southmost side of the said Huckleberry Branch and to my Son Benjamin Edwards all that tract of land lying in St. Marys called Taunton Dean containing one hundred and sixty four acres to him and his heirs forever.

I give and bequeath unto my son John Edwards all that Tract of Land lying in St. Marys County called Edwardbs Back Lands to him and to his heirs forever and my Will is in case either of my sons aforementioned should die without heirs their part or Dividend of Land shall return to my son Josias Edwards to him and his heirs forever.

And as for moveable Estate it has Pleased Almighty God to bestow on me after all my Just debts is truly Paid I give and bequeath to my Loving Wife Mary Edwards and lastly I ocnstitute and appoint my Loving Wife Mary Edwards and my Son Stourton Edwards Joynt Executor of this my last Will and Testament.B In Testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Third day of May Ame Domini 1746.B

June the 3 1746.B Then Mellvill Lock John Edwards and Robert Edwards the Subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Will being duly and solemnly sworn on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God depose and say that they saw the Testator Joseph Edwards sign the foregoing Will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he vows to the best of their Apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory and that they subscribed their Respective names as witnesses to the said Will in the presence of the said Testator and at his Request.
