Accident to Dr. Wm E Thornton

Dr. Wm E Thornton, while ascending the steps of a house at 5:15 yesterday afternoon, slipped on the snow and fell into the basement.  He was picked up in an unconscious condition, and carried into the house, where he was attended by Dr J R Krozer.  He was pronounced to be suffering from concussion of the brain.  Soon after the accident he was removed in the western district patrol wagon to his home, at the corner of Baltimore and Harrison streets.  Dr. Thornton represents the ninth and tenth wards in the second branch of the city council and was the councilman in the first branch from the ninth ward, in 1884 and 1885.  During the Hodges-Brown campaigb, he was a supervisor of election
