Will of John Wilhelm of Baltimore County, Dated 2 January 1865, Proved 5 March 1872

In the name God Amen I John Wilhelm of Baltimore County in the State of Maryland Being Sick and Weak in Body But of Sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding Considering the certainity of Death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my Worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this World When it Shall please God to call me hence do therefore Make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following That is to Say that and specifically I commit My Soul into the hands of God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried and aft my debts and funneral charges are paid, I devise and bequeaas follows

To my Son Samuel W Wilhelm one dollar.

To my Son Michael W. Wilhelm one dollar.

To my Son John W Wilhelm one dollar.

To my Son David Wilhelm one dollar

To my daughter Margaret intermarried John Vorick fifteen Dollars

To my daughter Lydia intermarried Abraham Mayes fifteen Dollars

and to my daughter Mary intermarried Daniel Krok fifteen Dollars

and to my daughter Elizabeth intermarried Charles Boblets, fifteen Dollars

and to my daughter Sarah intermarried Philip Hare, fifteen Dollars

and further I devise the residue including all my personal property yo my youngest Son Jacob W. Wilhelm and also appoint him My Executor of this my last Will and Testament --------- ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my Last Will and Testament In testimony Where I hereto set my hand and seal this second day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Five.

Baltimore County, Md on the fifth day of March 1872 came John Luehaus and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that he doth not know of any other Will or Codicil of John Wilhelm of said County, deceased, other ---- the above Instrument of writing and that he receioved the same from said John Wilhelm the testator on or about the first Day of December 1871 Sworn to in open Court.

Tess. OP Meregill reigister of Wills of Baltimore County. Baltimore County -- On this 5th day of March 1872 came John Lughaus and Henry C. Zouck Suscribing witnesses to the aforegoing Last Will and Testament of John Wilhelm, late of said County deceased, and made OAth on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see the testator sign and seal this will that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament that at the time of his So doing he was to the Best of their apprehension of sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding and that they together with John H Wilhelm Subscribed their names as Witnesses to the will in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other. Sworn to in open Court.
