Will of Edward B. Jackson of Baltimore Co., proved about 1854
I Edward Benjamin Jackson of Baltimore County and State of Maryland do make and execute this Instrument of Writing as and for my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say - I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Ann Williamson JAckson and my friend John Scott Casswell, of the City of Baltimore, and the Survivor of them All the estate and prperty of every kind and description and wheresoever Situated or being of which I may die seized or possessed. For trust and confidence never the less and to for and upon the uses lusts intents and purposes with under and Subject to the powers, provisoes and limitations herein after expressed and declared of and concerning. THat is to say, In Trust to sell and dispose of said Estate and property or any part thereof from time to time as they may think proper either at publis or private sale and upon receipt of the purchase or consideration money to make and execute the purchases of good and sufficient conveyance of the same And as to to the proceeds of such sales from time to time to Apply the same to or towards the payments of the expenses of my funeral and all just claims there maybe against me at the time of my death inclusive of a claim secured by mortgages on the place called "The Homestead" if such claim shall exist at the time of my decease or of such portionthereof it any as may be owing: And after the payment of all said claims in full to invest the residue of such proceeds and the proceeds of all other sales made by said trustees under the power herein before given in Safe Security on Mortgage of real Estate or in Ground Rents In Trust for my said wife Ann Williamson Jackson for and during the term of her natural life So that she maybe suffered and permitted to receive and take the clear interest or income arising from said investments and from Such protion of my property as may from time to time remain unsold...
