Will of Sarah Knight Boring of Baltimore County, Dated October 4, 1757, Filed September 12, 1763

In the Name of God, Amen, I Sarah Boring of Baltimore County, in the Province of Maryland, Widow, being weak in body but of perfect mind and Memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following That is to say Imprimis, I recommend my Soul to God who gave it hoping that the Merits of my Savior Jesus Christ to receive remission of my sins and my body to the earth to be buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named, I give and Bequeath unto the Reverend Thomas Chase Rector of St. Paul's Parish, Baltimore County, the Sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling Money of the Brittian. Item all the residue of my Estate both real and personal, I give, devise and bequeath unto William Askew of Baltimore Town in Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland, School Master, whom I make and appoint whole and sole executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will or Wills by me before made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Fourth day of October, in the year of our lord Seventeen Hundred and Fifty-Seven.

John Sheppard

Sept 12, 1763, Came John Sheppard one of the subscribing Witnesses to the within Will and Made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that he saw the Testatrix Sarah Boreing sign the within Will by making her mark and that she acknowledged the same to be her last Will and Testament and that the said John Sheppard subscribed his name as a Witness to the sd Will in the presence of the sd Testatrix and at her request; and further he the sd Sheppard, Deposeth that he saw the Other Two Witnesses Mathew Caster and Jonathan Hanson sign the same, the sd Jonathan Hanson deposeth at the same time that he thinks he wrote his name as a witness but cannot.....
