In the name of God Amen. The second day of May 1690. I John Boring being sick & weak in body but of sound and perfect memory praised be to Almighty God for the same and knowing the uncertainly of this life on earth and being desirous to .. things in order do make this my last will and testament. In manor and form following (that is to say) first and princably I commend my Soul unto the Hands of Almighty God my Creator, asuradly beliving that I shall receive full pardon and remission for my sins and .. .. by his pressious -- of Jesus Christ and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in such -- manor as to my executor here after named shall think fitt. And as touching such worldly -- as if hath pleased God to bestow up on me. This same shall be bestowed as hereafter by this my will Expressed and revoke all wills heretofore by me made.
Item: I do give and bequeath unto my three sons John & James & Thomas Boring all my Land to be equally devided between them. Also it is my will that my son John shall have his freedom at the age of eighteen years and then to enjoy his part of the estate. Also I give To my loving wife, that which the law customarily gives.
Item: All the rest and residue of my personal estate my will is that it should be equally devided amoung all my children begotton of the body of Anne Boring, my now present wife. Also I do will and desire & -- my loving Wife Exec. Of this my last will and testament. In witnesses whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the day and year above said.
