Will of Isabella Armstrong 1875

Last Will and Testament of Isabella Armstrong, of Baltimore county, Dated 2 March 1875, Proved 14 March 1876

I Isabella Armstrong of Baltimore County in the State of Maryland being of sound, disposing mind, memory and understandling, but sick in the body, and mindful of the uncertainty of human life do hereby make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as follows; that is to say:

Principally I commit my soul to God and my body to the earth, and after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses

First - I bequeath unto my dearly beloved daughter, Isabella Armstrong my bedstead and bedding, my bureau, my sewing machine, my washstand, three chairs and a carpet (all contained in my bedroom) and the sum of eleven hundred dollars in current money.

Secondly- I bequeath unto my dearly beloved son John M. Armstrong, two hundred dollars in money in addition to his share of the rest and residue of my personal estate.

All the rest and residue of my personal estate I bequeath unto my four beloved sons, Samuel, William, Daniel and John (share and share alike) & their heirs per stirpes et non per capita.

And I hereby constitute and appoint my friend Richard Hamilton executor of this my last will and testament.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by Isabella Armstrong, the above named testator, on this twenty second day of March in the year eighteen hundred and seventy five as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence}
