MCCOMAS, MILES, WHITAKER, POTEET, and BROCKMAN. Hi. My name is Linda Kanevsky, and I am researching several of the names listed on the first families sheet. Most frequent in my research are: MCCOMAS, MILES, WHITAKER, POTEET, and BROCKMAN. The last name BROCKMAN is more prominent in Orange CO., VA , but was supposed to have originated in MD. Also, I am researching Talbert, but have not linked my John Talbert with the Richard Ewen Talbott family. I think they are separate. Later Talberts lived in Spotsylvania Co., VA, but were supposed to be from MD originally- mentioning AnneArundel Co, mostly. Allied names in VA and/or MD include- Henderson, Beckwith/Peckett, Bond,Slade, Simmons, Norris, and Day. Most of my research has been through various MD Calendar of Wills volumes, First Families of MD, and a lot of Henry Peden's work. Seeking Genie cousins to exchange information. Reach me online at dkanevsky@aol.com. Thanks, Linda
