Interest in Trout family listed in 1790 Census as living in Baltimore City. Mrs. Trout listed. Believed to be mother of John Trout who later moved to Huntingdon County, PA and married Elizabeth Ake. Richard Henry WILLIS and Anna E. WEAVER: Richard was a druggist in Towsontown (now Towson). He was listed as such in the 1879 directory of Baltimore County. Hopkins' Atlas of Baltimore County for 1877 and for 1898 show a structure belonging to Dr. R. Willis at the NE corner of York Road and Chesapeake Avenue. The death certificate of Richard and Anna's son says Richard and Anna were both born in Maryland. Garvis/Garvais Gilbert came to Baltimore County MD prior to 1800. His descendants appear in Harford County MD records after the county was formed. The Gilbert estate once included the northeast corner of Aberdeen Proving Grouds and ran north and east of that location. I'm trying to track down my childrens' great grandmother. How- ever, no one knows her real name. My childrens' grandmother was literally given away to Luella and Samual Naylor. Luella named the daughter Evelyn Luella Naylor (but the birth certificate apparently shows something like Ranee Mae Miller). She was born in blackhorse, Md Norrisville, August of early 1930's (1934 I think) and she has a brother and a sister that are older than her. The sister was named Mary. The brother's name is unknown. There couldn't have been too many Millers in Blackhorse. How do I trace thier residence? Thanks

I need help finding facts about any Baltzell from Maryland. I have only vague info on the Baltzell's that came to Penn. in 1763 and then supposedly went to Frederick Co. I need any info on John Jacob Baltzell Sr. and Jr., Carl(charles) Baltzell, and George Jacob Baltzell. I am having trouble figuring out which Baltzell my line comes from. A Henry Baltzell was supposed to have left Maryland with his family and moved to Illinois in early 1800's. I need to know who he was and who his wife and children were, if possible. James Hollis bought land in 1753 from the Loyal Land Company on Catawba Creek,Augusta Co, VA. During the F/I Wars they removed over the moutains to Bedford County where his son James II was born in 1759. In 1761, they left Augusta County and settled in what is now Whythe County before relocating to what is now TN in 1774. There had been a George and a John Hollis is the Augusta area at the same time. Where did 1st Hollis family came from? The Hollis, Choate and Gist families seem to have long connections and ultimately lines of all three of these families ended up in Wayne and Lawrence County, TN, and intermarried along the way. The Maryland Hollis family had connections with Choate and Gist which leads one to wonder if James I came from MD. There was also a Hollis famiy in Fairfax County, VA, and they had a James. He ended up in SC, so they don't seem to fit. Help or hints are appreciated. I have a good deal on James II and his descendents. Will help others in our line if I can. Ciao!

I am trying to locate information on James or Alexander Standridge (about 1765 - Maryland) There may have been another brother named Samuel. I know that they (or their descendants) later moved to Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana and Arkansas. However, I do not know if James or Alexander (or Samuel) were born in the United States, immigrated, were British soldiers or indentured servants. Seems unlikely to have been servants because two or more brothers have been found at this period, so perhaps they were soldiers, or were descendants of earlier immigrants. Can anyone assist me? I do not even know what county to start looking in.
