In a little snow white casket
Resting all among flowers
Lies our loving blue eyed baby
Who such a little while was ours
Another sweet flower has withered
A gem from this world set free
A lamb in the fold of the shepherd
Who said: let them come into me.

BONDHenreitta13 May 1855May or Jun 1855From a friend, suggested by the death of Mrs. Henrietta Bond, who died at the residence of her sons, Jas. and Edwd. Gilyard, May 13th at 11 o'clock A.M. aged about 70 years.
How consoling the thought that those who have gone, Enter into their rest rejoicing around the heaven throne;
Nor ought we to murmur at God's decree,
Returned is her spirit, from sin and sorrow free:
In the cause of her Saviour, whose goodness and love
Every privilege had granted to prepare her for heaven above.
Thus may we live and hope and fear.
That those we leave may never shed a tear.
Amidst the trials of this earthly probation whilst living
Beams of joy from our sister gave no signs of (unreadable) giving,
On Jesus her hope and salvation relying.
Now from our midst our sister removed from our sight
Departed in peace, and as we hope to enjoy eternal life.

J.A.H.

BUSBEYJohn12 May 188104 Jun 1881 DIED. BUSBEY.--At the Western Hotel, Manchester, Md., on Thursday, May 12, JOHN BUSBEY, Esq.
The deceased was born at Snow Hill, Baltimore county, Md., in 1799, and at the time of his death reached the venerable age of 82 years. He learned in early life the trade of an edge-tool maker, subsequently he removed to McSherrystown, Adams co., Pa., where he married and reared a large and respectable family. Mr. Busbey was in many respects a remarkable man. Whilst carrying on the business of his trade he utilized his spare time in reading and study, and thus acquired a very respectable amount of knowledge in history and general literature.
After much study and reflection on the subject of religion he connected himself with the Catholic Church, and remained to his death a conscientious member, and one who was capable of explaining the doctrines of that faith to others who had not an opportunity of knowing them.
He kept a store and hotel at McSherrystown, was elected magistrate of the county and member of the State Legislature; offices which he filled with intelligence and integrity. During the war he was appointed provost marshal at Gettysburg.
A few years ago he manufactured the famous Bitters known as "Busbey's Bitters."
His remains were interred in the Cemetery at Conewago Chapel, Penna., on the 14th of May. R.I.P.
