John James Greer, b 1688, d 1742, buried at City Cemetery, Baltimore MD, married 1st Sarah Day, daughter of Nicholas & Sarah Day, St John's Parish Record Baltimore, MD, married 2nd Cloe Jones, per will 1752/4/27 Onslow Co, NC. 1752/4/27, Greer, John Sr, will written, proved July Ct, db 5, 277. Late of Maryland & now residing in Onslow Co. had 6 sons John, Moses, Aquilly, William, Benjamin Joseph. and 3 daughters Sarah Armstrong, Anne Starkey, Elizabeth Davis. Son John Jr, son of Cloe Grer. wife Cloe. Wit: Henry Bishop Sr, Sarah Bishop

Greer, John Sr, will, devisees: Nancy, Jessey, Ann Mitchell, Noah Demoss, Aquilla, John, Benjamin, Joshua, Rachel Mitchell, & Sarah Hardgrave. (Olds designates Nancy as wife, omits Joshua, designates Ann Mitchell & Sarah Demess as daughters, and Rachel Mitchell and Sarah Hargrave as children. He gives Grier as Grierson - an error.)
