Union Works Cemetery

Located on Rest Avenue off Westchester Avenue in Oella

This now abandoned cemetery was originally maintained for the workers of the Union Manufacturing Company (Union Works) of Oella. There have been no burials since 1943. Although there has been some clearing of this hillside site, most of the gravestones have fallen and been covered with dense undergrowth. (A set of inscriptions for this cemetery appeared in the Maryland Genealogical Bulletin of Winter 1979, Vol 20, # 1, but the article did not include all the burials listed here.)
