I Nathaniel P. Watts of Anne Arundel County and the state of Maryland do make this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say
1st After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses I give and devise unto my son P. Frank Watts the house in which he now resides and a rectangular lot of one acre of land laid out so as to include all of his buildings stables sheds etc the said lot is to be bounded on the east side by the Baltimore and Potomac Rail road on the North by the County road leading from Odenton to Jessups and on the West by a straight line leaving the county road and running parallel with said rail road and to run fifteen feet east of the old barn and running far enough south to intersect a line drawn parallel with said county road making four lines enclose one acre of land. I further direct that the said Frank Watts shall pay to my son Eden B. Watts the sum of five hundred dollars within one year after my death. the said sum to remain a lien or charge on said lot until paid. I reserve the right for a member of my family to take water for their own use out of the well now located at the northeastern most corner of said lot at all proper times.
2nd I give and devise unto my daughter Ann Maria Whittle my undivided one half interest in the farm of sixty three acres which I now own jointly with her husband Charles Whittle.
3rd I give and devise unto my son John A. Watts eighty five acres of land more or less founded on the west by the Baltimore and Potomac rail road on the North by the road from Millersville to Odenton on the east by the land of Joseph Follandsbee and on the south by a line laid down about three years ago by B. R Anderson and I direct that he pay to my son Enoch L. L. Watts the sum of Five hundred dollars within one year after my death said sum to remain a lien or charge on said land until paid.
4th. I give and devise unto my son Eden B Watts all the remainder of the farm lying east of the Baltimore and Potomac rail road, after my son John has selected his share. I also give and de vise to the said Eden a Triangular tract of land lying west of the Baltimore and Potomac rail road and east of the road from Woodwardsville to Odenton and bounded on the North by a straight line to be laid down from said county road to the rail road said line to run parallel with the North side of what is called the Old "Yellow House" and fifty feet distant there from I also give to the said Eden five hundred dollars to be paid by my son Frank as set forth in the first paragraph of this Will.
5th I give and devise unto my son Enoch L. L. Watts the remainder of the tract of land lying west of the Baltimore and Potomac rail road bound ed on the West by the County road from Woodwards ville to Baltimore after Eden B Watts and P. Frank Watts shares have been deducted as here in before provided. I also give and devise unto my son Enoch LL. Watts a Track of Wood land Containing about twenty five acres adjoining the old Quaker Meeting House in the Fork of the Patuxent River I also devise unto the said Enoch all those lots of ground bounded on the west by the county road from Woodwardsville to Baltimore on the North by the Annapolis Washington and Baltimore rail road on the south by the count road from Odenton to Jessups and on the east by a line down from the said railroad to the county road and along the fence on the east side of my burying ground the said burying ground and the right of egress and ingress being specially reserved for the use of members of my family. I also give the said Enoch five hundred dollars as provided in the third paragraph of this Will.
6th I give and devise unto my grandson Jacob Guy Bell my one half undivided interest in what is known as the Ned Anderson farm which I own jointly with my son P. Frank Watts
7th I give and bequeath unto my wife Charlotte C. Watts in lieu of all dower interest in my estate all my personal property absolutely including cash in bank household furniture my one half interest in the stock of goods in the store of N. P. Watts and son at Odenton, I also give and devise to her during the period of her natural life my store and dwelling attached including the lot on which said store stands running as far West as the east side of the burying ground inclosure.
8th On the death of my wife I authorize direct and
empower my executor herein after named to sell
the said store and dwelling and lot at Public
Auction to the highest bidder (the purchaser of the
same not to look to the application of the purchase
money) and I direct my said executor to distribute the proceeds of sales as follows.
To my grandson Jacob Guy Bell one hundred dollars
to my two grandchildren the children of my deceased
son William the sum of one hundred dollars each
To Jennie Fisher as a [?] in part for
her faithful services and many kindnesses to
me the sum of two hundred dollars
The remainder of the proceeds of said sales as
well as any residue of my estate not otherwise provided for in this will I direct my executor to pay
to P. Frank Watts, Eden B. Watts John A Watts
Enoch L.L. Watts and Ann Maria Whittle they
to share and share alike
9th I have made no provisions herein for my two sons Phillip Watts and Jacob Watts as I have heretofore liberally provided for them and made numerous advances to them, And I consider that they have already had more than their full share from me
10th I do further direct and declare that should any one or more of my children or legatees or divisees or any one interested in my will, directly or indirect ly attempt to break this will or seek to have the same done by others, or seek to have any of its provisions set aside or annulled in whole or in part in such case I hereby revoke vacate and rescind the provision I have made for such person or persons so attempting and do hereby will and declare that all provisions made for such persons shall be null and void and the above provided for such person or persons to be divided among those of my children not contesting this will I hereby appoint my son John A Watts and my friend [?] R. Anderson to be the Executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and annulling all former wills and codicils heretofore by me made to the interest that this and this alone shall be my last will and testament In testimony of which I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this 9th day of May 1899.
Signed sealed and declared by the above married
testator as and for his last will and testament
in the presence of us who in his presence at his
request, and I the presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

John A Watts and in the presence of Almighty
God doth solemnly declare that he does not know
of any will or Codicil of Nathaniel P. Watts late
of said County, deceased other than the above
instrument of writing and that he [?] the
from among his private papers after his death and
it has remained in his possession till deliv
ered to this office, and testator died on the 12th
Day of september 1899

Cooke and Richard D Downs subscribing witnesses to the fore
going last Will and Testament of Nathaniel P. Watts late of said
County deceased and in the presence of Almighty God do solemnly
declare that they did see the testator sign and seal this Will that
they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to
be his last Will and Testament, that at the time of his so doing
he was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing
mind memory and understanding and that they together
subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in his presence
at his request and in the presence of each other

ed the above last will and Testament of N P. Watts
late of Anne Arundel County deceased and also

this 28th day of Sept A.D. 1899 that the same be admitted
in this Court as the true and genuine last Will and
Testament of the said N.P. Watts deceased
