7 September 1796
I Thomas Tucker of Ann Arundel County do by these presents give grant and make over unto
my three daughters Mary Sudley Tucker Rebecca Fairbaine Tucker and Harriet Tucker three
negro slaves as follows, unto my daughter Mary Sudley Tucker my negro boy Ben Unto my
daughter Rebecca Fairbain Tucker my negro boy Charles and unto my daughter Harriet Tucker
my negro girl Dorcus which said negro slaves unto my three daughters as aforesaid and their
heirs forever, to have and receive the said slaves at my decease and not before, hereby
revoking all further claim unto the aforesaid negro slaves further than to have the use and
labour of them hereafter during my natural life. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this seventh day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety six

Be it known that on the seventh day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety six
before me John Randall one of the Justices of the peace for Ann Arundel County Came Thomas
Tucker within named and acknowledged this Instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning of the same In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the day and year above Written.
