ESTLICK, Samuel ESTLICK arr. Port Annapolis in Sep 1723 aboard the Alexander with about 115 fellow prisoners from Newgate. I can find no trace of Samuel following that landing. There may be a link with Henry Estlick who surveyed "Catherine's Fancy" on the east side of Warrior Mtn in Allegany County in 1800. I'd appreciate any suggestions on locating indentureship data for that period. Did these felons just drop out of sight? I have copies of that Certificate of Landing for whoever wants one. Send SASE to Ed Easlick, edslick@bellatlantic.net, 7619 Cotfield Road, Richmond, VA 23237.

KITELEY KITLEY KIGHT KITE I recently discovered the following marriage record using a AACD on Colonial Marriages: Eleanor KITLEY married Henry RIGHT 14 January 172 in Anne Arundel Co. MD. (sic. St. Margarets Westminister Parish). I have not seen the original record but suspect that the groom should be Henry KIGHT. I also suspect the grooms full name was Richard Henry KIGHT (KITE). I have been searching for seven years for the elusive Richard KITE b. ca. 1740-1750 a. aft. 1810 at Carter Co., TN. wife Eleanor and son Isacc KITE (b. ca. 1770). This family settled in northeast TN by 1783 though I have been unsuccessful in locating them before their migration into TN. THis mixup might explain why I have not located them after a lot of digging. I have no information on the KITELY/KITELEY family but I do know that some KITE families were established and living in Anne Arundel Co during late 17th Century and beyond {sic. a little data on Humphrey, Thomas and William KITELEY were provided to the inquirer). I would appreciate it if someone would closely examine the originaly KITELY-RIGHT marriage registery entry of 1772 to see if RIGHT could have be KIGHT instead. I would also ask if persons with information on the KIGHT/KITE and/or KITELEY/KITELY families of MD please contact me. Gregory E. Kyte Fireczar@aol.com 208 Weeping Cherry Lane, Columbia SC 29212
DAVIS I am trying to establish if there is a Maryland connection with my ancestors, i. e. the DAVIS family of Eastern KY in Lawrence Co., & Martin Co., KY and the DAVIS's of Anne Arundel Co., MD. The only info I have connecting my DAVIS family to Maryland is an 1850 census which shows William DAVIS age 80 born in MD. The census also shows Samuel DAVIS age 66 also born in MD. The IGI shows there were people with the surname DAVIS in the Anne Arundel County area. Does anyone know anybody who is researching the DAVIS family or any current DAVIS descendents originating from the Anne Arundel Co. area? Any information anyone has would be extremely appreciated. Thank you. JudeofOh@aol.com
