Appreciate help on my various great grandparents and any of their ancestors. John Giles Cromwell and wife Amanda Harman born about 1840 to 1850, George Carrigan m. Elizabeth Thelin, both born before 1870, Adam Schoff (b. bef 1865) m. Rosina Stumph. All lived in Baltimore or Anne Arundel County, and I believe the Cromwell and Harman families were natives of Anne Arundel with numerous relatives in the area; others uincertain, Believe that Amanda Harman's mother was Micha Lilly Harman. Believe John Giles Cromwell descended from either Thomas or Oliver Cromwell, sons of Thomas and Jemima Morgan, b. after 1705. Oliver m. Anna Maria Giles, and both brothers gave the Giles name to their children, but I have been unable to bridge the 100 year gap to John Giles.

Thomas FORD came to Maryland with William Ayres in 1652, probably from VA. owned Fordstone in 1659, acquired other land in Anne Arundel and Howard Counties, died in 1682. WELLS/SWANSON: Mr. Joseph Wells (son of Thomas Wells and Francis Smith) and Ms. Margaret Swanson (daughter of Francis Swanson and Susannah Plummer) were married in All Hallows Church Anne Arundel Co on 11 April 1721. The couple subsequently moved to Prince Georges Co. John and Margaret were among the founders of the Monocacy Quaker Community. Their son, Joseph Wells, Jr. married Ms. Charity Carrington in Loudon, VA. The whole family emigrated to Orange Co, NC and were among the founders of Cane Creek Monthly Meeting there. ALEXANDER--looking for info on Jane ALEXANDER of Annapolis, who married Rev.Lucien B. Wright (from Ohio?) on September 25, 1834. He was minister at All Hallows Church in Anne Arundel Co. They moved to Selma AL sometime before 1839; then possibly returned to MD, before moving to Atlanta (Marietta)GA. They are both buried in the old Episcopal Cemetary in Marietta, GA Jane was supposedly sister to Thomas S. ALEXANDER, a lawyer in Annapolis or Baltimore, who married Priscilla Ghiselin in 1830 in Annapolis.
