This genealogy of the Worthington family is largely taken from "The Founders of Anne Arundel and Howard Counties, Maryland" by J. D. Warfield. There is also a genealogy of the Worthington family in the first edition of Anne Arundel Gentry by Harry C. Newman. There are pieces of the Worthington family (mostly in Baltimore County) that are not followed through. There were Worthingtons, who were Quakers, in the northeastern part of Baltimore County in the mid to late 1700s.
