The WCH&GS has a growing collection of genealogical and historical materials at their research room, which is now located in the Webster County Library in Dixon. The research room is open M-F 9:30-4 p.m. excepting the lunch hour from 12-1:00. Members of the society volunteer their time in the research room to assist visitors when they can. Additionally librarian Susan Smith is often available to give guidance to visitors.
Webster County is in the Central time zone. Meetings of the Society are held on the 4th Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. (except December) on the lower level of the Webster County Library in Dixon. If the library is closed due to a holiday the meeting is moved the the 3rd Saturday
