Lewis Hancock served in KY Militia under Capt. Dudley and General Harrison in War of 1812; he apparently settled down to farming after marriage to Sally Bradshaw 17 Feb 1819 Mercer Co KY. He lived in Mercer Co abt 1820, then moved to Christian Co in 1824. He moved to Onton abt 1851. He is the 3gr-grandfather of Tony Wooten |

He married Luvicey Catherine Ashby, born 1853 Webster Co KY, 15 Nov 1872 Webster Co KY. She was the dau of Samuel David Ashby and Mary Ann Cobb at household 21/21 of this census.
