785/780 Northern Peter 55 m farmer $6000
$5900
VA Marjorie Northern cites A Short History of the Northen Family In The United States by Rev E. E. Northen for the following information about Peter Northern: "Peter Northern was born July 23, 1802, in Virginia, undoubtly in Richmond. When next heard from he was living 'about forty miles from Warrinton' (probably Warrenton, Fauquier Co., VA.) where he was educated. From there he moved to Tennessee, thence to Hopkins Co., Ky., about two miles from Providence, where he was a farmer until his death, which was caused by paralysis in 1870. He was buried on his farm. He was said to have a remarkably fine memory. He was not connected with any church, but was a firm believer in the Christian Church, and well-informed as to the scriptures, In politics he was a Whig and later a Democrat. At nineteen years of age he married Miss Elizabeth Fitzhugh, of Virginia." Marjorie adds "The Northen Book mentions only Elizabeth Fitzhugh as a wife of Peter, but according to his will written in 1858 he had a wife named Sara J."
