James Monroe Whitledge was the son of M. M. and Yula Whitledge.
He married Sidney Ann Allen 5 Jan 1899, the daughter of John E. Allen, 1848-1926 and Malinda Hughes, 1854-1897, who are both buried at Rock Stile Cemetery in Webster County KY.
