Lorene Estelle Dixon was the daughter of Herman E. Dixon, 1876-1935, and Nellie Liles, 1876-1948, both of whom are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

She married Roy Thomas Melton. Their son Thomas Roy Melton, Jr. is also buried in this cemetery.
