Obituary of RAYMOND L. McKINLEY
Raymond L. McKinley, 71, Russell, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Russell Regional Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1930, at Nevada, Missouri, the son of Frank A. and Bertha Rackley McKinley.

Ray married illa Fern Bushell, August 28, 1955, at Natoma. She died April 14, 1965.

He married Lou Ann Graham, June 4, 1966, at Russell. She survives.

Ray lived his early life on a farm in the Fairport area. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, received his BS degree from Fort Hays College, taught school at Russell from 1959 to 1992. He owned and operated his own cattle and farming operation as well as having his McKinley Auction Service.

He was a member of First Congregational Church, Life Member of VFW Post No. 6240, and vice-chairman of the Russell County Zoning Committee.
Ray was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife; an infant son; two sisters, Violet McKinley and Florence Zweifel.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Raeleen Reinhardt, Russell; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Russell, with Rev. Martha Hartman and Rev. Glenn Tombaugh officiating.

Burial will follow at Russell City Cemetery, Russell.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Ray McKinley Scholarship Fund, or Rock Springs Ranch in care of the mortuary.
