Georgia Stevens Death Conquers at Last

Georgia Stevens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stevens, died on Wednesday, June 17, 1903, after suffering from scarlet fever one week. When the Index was printed last week she was thought to have improved but at about noon on Wednesday she grew very much worse and at 5 o'clock she passed away.

On account of the nature of the sickness funeral services were held at 11 o'clock that night. Rev. L. M. Beldon, pastor of the Presbyterian church conducted the services.

This misfortune in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stevens is indeed a very sad one. Georgia was a bright sweet little girl just advancing out of the period of childhood. She was the only child of the family and the fondest treasure of the hearts of the parents. She was nine years of age.

The friends of Mr. and Mrs. Stevens sympathize with them deeply in their great loss.
