Commencement details and graduate names were taken from the June 17, 1886, edition of the Washington Post, Washington, DC, page 2.

Note: One of the graduates, George C. Bollinger, was one of the victims of the collapse of the old Ford's Theater on the morning of Friday, June 9, 1893. He survived the collapse only to die several months later on January 7, 1894, as a result of the injuries received. The collapse killed many government workers. Ford's had been abandoned as a theater some years after the Lincoln assassination, but was used during the 1880s as a government office building. The Records and Pensions divisions of the War Department, where Bollinger was employed as a clerk, occupied space there. The cause of the collapse was laid to shoddy repair work, use of inferior materials, and failure to apply proper building techniques by contractors hired to repair the aged building.
