Under photos reads: Mr. & Mrs. C.E. OWENS, who celebrated their gold wedding anniversary on Tuesday, February 14, with a reception and dinner at the home, 2214 Ogden avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Owens celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday at their home, 2214 Ogden avenue.

Colonel E. Owens and Nannie B. Armstrong were married in Stanberry, Mo., on February 14, 1883.

They moved to North Platte, Neb., where Mr. Owens was in the employ of the Union Pacific railway for twenty years. In 1903 he was transferred to Evanston, Wyo., where he resided two years and then the family came to Ogden. Mr. Owens is at present in the employ of the Western Pacific at Elko, Nev.

Mr. and Mrs. Owens received Tuesday afternoon and sixty-five friends called to offer their congratulations and best wishes.

In the evening they entertained twenty-four members of the immediate family at dinner. The long table had carnations and ferns across each end and in the center was a large wedding cake decorated with hearts and gold roses. Golden bells were suspended from the chandeliers.

After dinner, with Rev. H.T. Morris officiating, the couple again exchanged wedding vows. The rooms were lovely with baskets of American beauty and Talisman roses and red carnations.

Mr. and Mrs. Owens received many beautiful gifts, among them a radio set from their three sons, Chester Owens, of Sacramento, John Owens of Ogden and Frank Owens of Oakland.

Announcement is made of the recent marriage of Miss M. Fern DAVIS and Floyd A. TAYLOR.
Mrs. TAYLOR is the daughter of Mrs. Josephine DAVIS, Ogden and L.S. DAVIS, St. Anthony, Idaho. She is known for her talent in dramatic art circles, having been connected with stage work as well as composition and broadcasting of radio plays.

Mr. TAYLOR is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. TAYLOR of Plain City. He is a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural college at Logan where he received special recognition in football and swimming. He is also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha national fraternity.

ROBINSON, Mr. and Mrs. William F.

Headline: Married Fifty Years

More than one hundred and forty friends and relatives called on Mr. and Mrs. William F. Robinson of Roy last Tuesday to congratulate them on their golden wedding anniversary. They were married in the Endowment house in Salt Lake City on March 27, 1884.
Mr. Robinson was born in Farmington February 12, 1864, a son of Joseph Lee and Lydia Foster Robinson. His parents came to Utah with an ox team in 1848.
After the death of his mother, Mr. Robinson lived with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Haven at Enterprise, Utah, friends of his parents.
Mr. Robinson has taken an active part in the work of the L.D.S. church and served in the Roy bishopric for ten years.
Mrs. Robinson was formerly Esther Diana Baker, and was born in Riverdale on December 11, 1865, a daughter of William and Esther Cole Baker, who came to Utah in 1849.
Her father built the first house and dug the first well east of Hooper between Kaysville and Ogden. She served in the Roy L.D.S. Relief society for 40 years and in the Primary Association for seven years.
Mr. and Mrs. Robinson are the parents of thirteen children, eight of whom are still living. They have 38 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The couple held open house all day Tuesday and light refreshments were served.

FIELD, Mr. and Mrs. Harold

ROY---Harold and Hazel Field of 5935 S. 2700 W., will be honored at an open house Saturday in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Friends and relatives are invited to call from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Roy LDS First Ward Cultural Hall, 5850 S. 2575 W. The couple request that gifts be omitted.
The pair were married May 17, 1922, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Field was born Oct. 27, 1898, in Roy, a son of Orson and Margaret Jones Field.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1963 and from Field Oil in 1980.
Mrs. Field was born March 28, 1903, in Morgan, a daughter of John S. and Catherine Welsh Taggart.
They are members of the Roy LDS 1st Ward.
The couple had eight children, six of whom are living: Darl R. Field, Gaylen I. Field and Lillian Faye Field, all of Roy; Jeanne Anne Harris of Washington Terrace; and Lynn Marie Miller and Don Field, both of Clinton.
They have 31 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
