September 17, 1971 Funeral service for Mrs. Laura Belle Burleson, 80, a Sherman resident most of her life, was held Friday at the East Sherman Baptist Church. Burial was in Cedar Cemetery near Tom Bean, Grayson County. Mrs. Burleson died here Wednesday at Sherman Community Hospital of a ruptured abdominal aorta aneurysm and generalized arteriosclerosis.. She was born in Commerce, Hunt County, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Brannum. Mrs. Burleson worked in St. VIncent Hospital, later in the Sherman Community Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the East Sherman Baptist Church.
