Durwood Vincent, 81, went to meet his Lord March 22, 2008. Mr.
Vincent was born in Grayson County and lived there most of his life,
and was a cabinet maker by trade. He is survived by his wife, Jean, of Garland; daughter, Deitra V. McCleery and husband, Sherryl, of San Angelo, Texas; son, Durwood and Nita Vincent of Lubbock, Texas; grandson, Don and Tiffany Lankford of Garland; granddaughters, Suzanne Vincent and Lori Vincent Tawney of Lubbock; great-grandsons, William lankford and Jacob Tawney; sisters, Patsy & Tommie Land of Arlington; Billie and Bobby Stillwell of Bakersfield, California; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church Monday, March 24, 2008 with Dr. David Hall officiating. Graveside services followed at Cedar Cemetery in Grayson County.
