January 26, 1935 MISS MIDDLETON'S LAST RITES HELD Special to the News Sherman, Texas, January 25 - Funeral services were held Sunday at the Cedar Methodist Church for Miss Bessie Jane Middleton, who died at her home Saturday. Burial was in the Cedar Cemetery, near Ida, Grayson County. Miss Middleton was born July 7, 1896 in the Celtic community near Howe, Grayson County. She was the daughter of J.M. and Christiana Cole Middleton. She was a member of the Cedar Methodist Church for 40 years. She is survived by 2 brothers, Jim H. Middleton of Sherman, with whom she resided, and W.C. Middleton of Long Beach, California; 1 sister, Mrs. George B. Hughes of McKinney.
