Sandra Sue "Sandy" Cooper arrived in the arms of her Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  Sandy was born on November 10, 1943, daughter of Lloyd W. and Alberta LoRee DeGeer.
She married James Milton Cooper, Jr. on December 27, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas.  They settled in Lancaster, California and raised 2 children - Gregory and LoRee.
Before marrying Jim, Sandy worked as a bookkeeper at Farmers and Bankers in Wichita, Kansas and at the Antelope Valley College book store as a bookkeeper.
She worked for 3 years after marriage to help furnish the home while they used Jim's salary for living and playing - mostly snow skiing in those days which she loved to do.
She spent the next 41 years or so keeping her family in a warm, loving and comfortable home while also volunteering her time with several organizations.  Some of these organizations included local schools, nursing homes (visiting), and working with the church youth programs while adopting some older folks that needed friends and help.  Along with snow skiing, Sandy enjoyed bowling, golfing, and camping throughout the U.S.   Sandy was also known to really like to pull a slot machine handle on occasion.
Along with her family, she followed Jim through several different churches in California and Texas.
Sandy leaves behind her husband, James, of Denison, Texas; son, Gregory and wife, Makala, of Denison, Texas; daughter, LoRee and husband, Brian Skaggs, of Tehachapi, California; and grandchildren: Xander, Brevin, Tristen, Raven, Justin, Haley, James, Madisyn, Reese and Jackson.
Services were held Saturday morning, June 4, 2022 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas with Rev. Matt Wood officiating.  Interment followed the services at the Vittitoe Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Sandra's name to either Home Hospice, Sherman, Texas or the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
