FLOYD A. MILLER DIES FROM BULLET WOUND
Floyd A. Miller, 19 years old, was killed instantly at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch C. Miller, about 4 miles north of town, Saturday morning about 6 o'clock as a result of a self-inflicted bullet wound which passed through his heart and through a wall, narrowly missing members of the family who were seated at the breakfast table in an adjoining room.  It is believed that the tragedy was the result of a reprimand given the young man by his father Friday evening.  It is also said that the young man had been despondent for the last few weeks.
Shortly after rising Saturday morning, and after the youth had done up his regular morning work, he returned to the house and asked his mother for a key to a sewing machine drawer, in which were kept some cartridges for a revolver among other things.  She told him where the key was.  After this he went into a small clothes closet and a shot was heard.  Members of the family rushed to the closet and found the body on the floor.
The funeral service was held at Kentuckytown Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. C. Chumbley.  The services were under the direction of Lloyd Moore, undertaker.
The deceased is survived by his parents and five brothers and sisters.
