Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Church of Christ for Anthony Edward "Tony" Weber, 72, conducted by Rev. Joseph Burton, pastor.  Mr. Weber died Saturday evening at his home here where he had been ill for a week following a stroke of apoplexy.
Burial was in Vittitoe Cemetery, near Kentuckytown, directed by Glen Everheart.  Pallbearers were Joe Parrish, Jim Hardcastle, Guy Hamilton, Percy Darwin, A.L. Biggerstaff, and Lonnie Darwin.
Mr. Weber was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 19, 1867 [sic], son of Jake and Sarah Weber.  He attended school at Cincinnati and came to Texas with his family before reaching manhood, and settled near Kentuckytown.  He married Miss Zannie Patterson and they established a farm home.  With the exception of a few years spent on a farm near Royse City, they had lived in Kentuckytown until they moved to Whitewright about 4 years ago.  For 21 years Mr. Weber operated the Guy Hamilton farm near Kentuckytown, and when he retired to move to said he said he and Mr. Hamilton had never had an argument or disagreement concerning operation of the farm.
Mr. Weber is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Jenke of San Antonio, and one son, Bryan Weber of Hillsboro.
Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jenke of San Antonio; Mr. and Mrs.Lyle Stewart and others from Dallas; Mrs. Tom Knott and family and Mrs. Charles Novak of Durant, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ball of near Denison; Bryan Weber, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Crisp, Miss Musie Keele, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Butcher, and Mrs. Lottie Holcomb of Hillsboro; Newt Yowell, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Yowell, John Newton, and Miss Mary Louise Yowell of Whitesboro; a large number from Tom Bean, Kentuckytown and other surround communities, and the following from Sherman:

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ, conducted by J. Pat Salyer, minister of the Church of Christ, for Mrs. Zanie Weber, wife of the late Tony Weber, who died suddenly at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at her home in east Whitewright.  The burial was held at the Vittitoe Cemetery.  Active pallbearers were Alonzo and Pascal Harper, E.O. Young, Roy Yowell, R.D. Maddux, and Richard Matthews.
Mrs. Weber was a native of Grayson County.  She was born March 24. 1874. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Patterson.  She was married in 1894 to Tony Weber, who died March 12, 1939.  They resided on a farm southwest of Whitewright for many years before moving to Whitewright about 8 years ago.  Mrs. Weber had been a member of the Church of Christ for many years.
She is survived by a son, Bryan Weber of Whitewright; a daughter, Mrs. H.E. Jenke of San Antonio; and a sister, Mrs. L. Stewart of Dallas.
