Ethel Marie Taylor was born May 23, 1949 at Leonard, Texas to Bennie Ray Montgomery and Daisie Eliza Chapman Montgomery. She married Larry Taylor on July 25, 1967 at Durant, Oklahoma. She died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the age of 60 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.
Ethel had a big heart, she loved people. She gladly cared for her SNAP Center family. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Whitewright. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by husband, Larry Taylor of Whitewright; daughter, Tammy Donihoo and husband Charlie of Leonard; son, William Taylor and wife Louri of Whitewright; grandsons; Cody Donihoo of Leonard; Jeffrey Acosta of Durant; Clayton Taylor of Whitewright; great-granddaughter, Cyreana Acosta of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; sister, Sally Bates and husband Bob; brother, Jr. Montgomery and wife Velma; sister, Bennie Dawson and husband Rufus; sister, Janie Kelsey; sister, Clara Thomas; brother, Billy Jack Montgomery and wife Ruby; brother, Paul Montgomery and wife Brenda; sister, Gail Rushing; brother, Jamie Joe Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Leslie and Cecil Montgomery; and sisters, Dolly McCrary and Ruby Redd. Funeral Services were held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at First Assembly of God, Whitewright, Texas. Rev. Dalton Jaco officiated the service, with burial following at Vittitoe Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.
Pallbearers were Dennis Hilliard, Ronnie Jaco, Dean Taylor, Steven Montgomery, John Baker and Jerry Donihoo. The family received friends during visitation on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitewright, Texas, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Assembly God, Whitewright, TX.

WHITEWRIGHT - Larry Gene Taylor was born December 6, 1942 in Achille, Oklahoma to William Henry Taylor and Dolly Mae Grinslade Taylor. He married Ethel Marie Montgomery on July 25, 1967 in Durant, Oklahoma. He passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home in Whitewright, Texas from complications of lung cancer at the age of 71.
Larry attended school in Whitewright, Texas and later served his nation in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. He earned his living as a Truck Driver, retiring from Magni-Fab Southwest in Howe, Texas in 2005 after 27 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards and dominos with his family.
He is survived by daughter, Tammy Donihoo and husband Charles of Leonard; son, William Taylor and wife Louri of Whitewright; grandsons, Cody Donihoo of Leonard, Clayton Taylor of Whitewright, Jeffrey Acosta of Cheyenne, Wyoming; great-granddaughter, Cyreanna Acosta of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Peggy Watts of Fort Worth, Janet Bean and husband Tom of Tom Bean, and Jo Saxon of Denison; brothers, Ben Taylor of Achille, Oklahoma, and Doyle Taylor of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife 43 years, Ethel Taylor; parents; brothers, Donald, Dale, Ray and Tubby Taylor; sister, Dolly Clark.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at First Assembly of God, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dalton Jaco. Burial will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas. Pallbearers will be William Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Charles Donihoo, Cody Donihoo, Dennis Hilliard and Dean Taylor. Following the graveside service, the family will be having a meal at the Fellowship Hall at the church.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Plus of Sherman, and especially to his caregivers, Sandra and Jose. Memorials may be made to Hospice Plus, 100 South Wood St. Sherman, TX 75092.
