  Margaret Ball 1840 - 1927 C.B. Ball 1831 - 1917   Carlisle B. Ball 1831 - 1917 Private Co. K 34th Texas Cavalry CSA The Whitewright Sun Friday, April 27, 1917 pg. 7 C.B. Ball, one of the early farmer settlers of this section, died Monday night at his home five miles southwest of this city. Rev. I.E. Teague, Rev. Nelson of Tom Bean and Rev. Nash of this place conducted the funeral services at the home Tuesday, following which the body was laid to rest at Vittitoe Cemetery. Mr. Ball was nearing his 86th birthday. He was born June 13, 1831, at Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. He came to Texas fifty years ago, settling near Decatur, later moving to this section. He is survived by his wife and several children. Throughout his long life Mr. Ball met the full requirements of a good citizen, husband, parent and neighbor.
