Connelly 1925 - 1945 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, October 11, 1945 pg. 5 Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church at Kentuckytown, 3 miles west of Whitewright, for Miss Grace Connelly, who died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital at Sherman. The services were conducted by Rev. J.A. Henderson. Active pallbearers were Glen Neal, Earl Phillips, Wesley Brown, Berdo Roberts, Edwin Badgett, and Paul Ryon. Interment was at Vittitoe Cemetery, directed by Glen Earnheart. Miss Connelly was born May 13, 1925 at Kentuckytown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pascal Connelly. She attended school at Kentuckytown and graduated from the Whitewright High School in 1942 and was Valedictorian of her class. She had been employed for the past year by Selective Service Board No. 2 of Sherman. She was a member of Kentuckytown Baptist Church. Miss Connelly spent the weekend with her parents, returning to Sherman Sunday afternoon. Monday she became ill and was taken to the hospital and died the following evening. Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Pascal Connelly, Jr. who is in the Southwest Pacific; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Little, 715 West Pecan street, Sherman.
