OBITUARY
Miss Cordie Connelly, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Connelly, of Kentuckytown, died last Thursday evening at seven o'clock, after an illness of several weeks.
She was a true friend, and her devotion to those she loved would make a bright chapter in any life.  Nothing but the thought of the loving hand that has removed her can reconcile her relatives and friends to her absence.  While she has gone from the sense, the conflicts, the sorrows and pleasures of life, she will still live in the hearts of those who knew her best.  Her retiring nature led her to hide her best qualities from public gaze, but they were revealed to those who enjoyed her acquaintance, yet it was in her home that her true worth was most comspicious. She was kind, loving, and her devotion to the family circle had no limit.
Her life was gentle, but like the still waters it was deep.  In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved, and her hand was never weary, her step never failed in ministering unto, caring for, waiting upon those who were in any way dependent upon her.
Miss Connelly was a devoted member of the Baptist church and was a teacher in the Sunday School.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. I.E. Teague at the residence Friday afternoon.  The remains were laid to rest in the VIttitoe Cemetery.
