Near the town of Preston was an old slave cemetery.  Twenty-two graves (at times the Corp gives the number as twenty-four). No names or markers were available.  John Taylor sold land to the Corp of Engineers and fenced off the new cemetery so no cows could get in.  No markers were ever erected and a few crepe myrtle bushes were planted to mark
the spot as a graveyard. No names were recorded.

To reach the slave cemetery, travel north on Hwy 120 from Pottsboro to the town of Fink.  In Fink, turn right (east) on Georgetown Road (FM 406).  The cemetery is on the east side of Little Mineral Creek, approximately 150 yards south of the bridge. - - - Government Cemeteries by Sarah Dye
