The Herald Democrat March 17-18, 2014 Ladora Lucille Pearson, mother, grandmother and Godly Christian woman, passed from this life on March 15, 2014 at the age of 87. Funeral services under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Denison will be held Wednesday, March 19 at the Pottsboro Church of Christ, with Jerry Spradling & family members officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 18 at Pottsboro Church of Christ. Mrs. Pearson, affectionately known as Granny Dora, was born August 21, 1926, in Meadow, Texas. She was the daughter of H. B. & Thelma Williams. She married Sam Pearson November 2, 1946 in Denison, Texas. Mrs. Pearson worked for Southwestern Bell, Pottsboro Schools, Levi Strauss and retired from Safeway Company in 1990. She was a member of the Pottsboro Church of Christ. She was a loving Christian lady with many close friends. As long as she was able, she delivered homemade soup to the widows & widowers from church. She loved attending the Ladies Bible Class at church and was known for her witty charm. Pallbearers will be Brian, Brandon & Blair Kent; Kelly Woyewodzic; Mike Jaramillo; Rocky Harlow. Mrs. Pearson is survived by daughters, Joyce Kent & husband, Carl; Joann Woyewodzic; son, David Pearson; six grandchildren, nine great-great children. Preceding her in death were her husband, Sam; parents, son-in-law Bob Woyewodzic; sisters, Rita Stephens, Bertie Faye Garner and Alice Morris. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home at 604 W. Main St. in Denison.
