SHERMAN SOLDIERS TO BE BURIED TODAY
Sherman, April 19 - Two Sherman soldier boys who lost their lives in France were buried Sunday.  The body of Charles R. Simmons, the first Grayson County soldier to fall in France, was buried at Whitewright.  The American Legion Post here was named for him and had charge of the funeral.
The body of Rex Baird, killed on Armistice Day, was buried in the old Georgetown Cemetery, north of Sherman.  He was the son of former County Clerk Ed Baird.
