Mooney 30 September 1892 - wed 1910 - 1952 Sherman Democrat Aug 19 1952 pg 8 DENISON--Funeral services for R. Tip Mooney Sr. 59, who was killed in an auto accident at Front Royal, Va. Saturday, will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Bratcher-Moore chapel with burial in Georgetown Cemetery. Mooney has been in the cattle business in Virginia for the past 16 years. He is survived by his widow; one son, Tip Moooney Jr., Lubbock; one half-brother, Alex Morton, Potsboro; one half-sister, Miss Willie Morton, Pottsboro; and two grandchildren. Born in Montague County, April 22, 1893, Mooney was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marquis Mooney. His widow is the former Miss Frances Payton.
