Vaughn Walter Bush, 49, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at a local medical center.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Home Chapel, Pastor Clint Sylvester officiating. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul "Bubba" Koenig, Chris Maldonado, Jared Lifsey, Norman Taff, Terry Gentry and Cliff Varner.
Vaughn Walter Bush was born March 22, 1958, in Fort Worth to Walter King and Mary Janell Gentry Bush. He graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth. He married Becky Koenig on June 2, 1980, in Fort Worth.
Mr. Bush was a loving husband and a very hard worker. At a time in his life he was the owner and operator of V.B. Auto Repair in Pottsboro. He was president of the Cambridge Shores Home Owners Association, vice president of Preston Volunteer Emergency Services, emergency care attendant and a firefighter. He was well-respected in the community and was a great auto mechanic. Mr. Bush was a member of Christian Life Church in Sherman. He enjoyed boating, skiing and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors: Wife, Becky Bush of Pottsboro; parents, Walter and Janell of Bonham; son, Isaac Bush of Pottsboro; sisters, Linda Taylor and husband, Tom, of Bedford, Sheridan Lifsey and husband, Robby, of Cozumel, Mexico; sisters-in-law, Cindi Taff and husband, Norman, of Burleson, and Sandra Santana and husband, Ignacio, of Alvarado; brother-in-law, Paul Koenig and wife, Belinda, of Burleson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
