POTTSBORO - Melva Jean Hunn, 89, of Pottsboro, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1924 in Dallas, to William Rufus and Emily G. Doyle Densmore. She graduated from Lewisville High School, received her associate degree from Grayson County Community College, and then her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Hunn married Jack Dexter Hunn on June 14, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a loving homemaker and a member of Georgetown Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2014 at Georgetown Baptist Church with Bobby Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Family visitation will be held at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel.
Survivors include her son, Paul and his wife Wendy of The Woodlands, Texas.; daughter Anna Thompson and her husband, Bernie Joplin of Whitefish, Mont.; grandsons, William Hunn and Alexander Joplin; granddaughters, Morgan Hunn and Kattie Thompson; brother Tommy Densmore of Pottsboro; sister, Eva Pannell of Forth Worth; an1924d special friend, Lou Jokisch of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Dale Densmore, Vernice Densmore and R.G. Densmore; and sisters Nawassia Montgomery, Goldie Reed and Wanda Sewell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral home.
