   Gerald Winston Griffith 1908 - 1980 PFC US Army WWII  Mamie E. Griffith 23 June 1917 - 13 November 1992 MAMIE GRIFFITH Denison - Mamie Griffith. 75, of Denison died Nov. 13, 1992, at Can-Tex Nursing Home in Denison. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Georgetown Cemetery with the Rev. David Gilbert officiating. Griffith was born June 23, 1917, in North Carolina to George and Ada Reece. On October 5, 1945, she married Gerald Griffith in Sherman. He died in August 1980. She was a member of the Assembly of God and worked in her home as a seamstress for many years. Survivors include four sons : Jimmy Cagle of Boyd, Texas; Roland Griffith of Denison; Gerald Griffith Jr. of Denison; and Marvin Ray Griffith Coleoca, Texas; a daughter, Hazle Swindle of Malakoff; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
